Metabloom (2023) transports the viewer to a dystopian world where humanity has built a megacity, symbolized by the concrete mould encased in a rusted metal frame. The choice of materials speaks of the dominance of urbanization and the suppression of nature.
As you stand before it, you'll hear a persistent rumble, representing the underground roots of resilient plants. These unseen roots are determined to break through and reclaim their place in the biodiversity chain. Each rumble is accompanied by a pulsating light, referencing the life force and invincible spirit of these subterrestrial troops.
Metabloom invites visitors to witness the clash between the concrete jungle and nature's resilience, urging a reflection on the ruthless fight for life in the face of overwhelming challenges.
