With the support of the Culture Moves Europe program, Ruined Resonances broke boundaries for the first time, expanding our cross-modal archive with new locations. This object book series explores the memory of places through both sound and form. Each edition combines field recordings with gypsum molds taken from streets and landmarks. The book synthesizes each location’s acoustic signature with an alginate imprint, attempting to teleport readers into spaces layered with history, and highlight the contrast between past and present. As readers progress, they encounter casts that can be touched and recordings that can be listened to — deepening the connection to the site. The first edition was realized in Thessaloniki.
