Loop Studies is an ongoing series of works exploring the search for the perfect loop. Each piece is based on a 30-second musical loop created through a blend of analog and digital tools, combined with field recordings. The sound is then translated into a plotted drawing, where frequencies unfold into arcs and gestures. A surface imprint accompanies each plot, anchoring the loop in the physical world and connecting the sonic to the tactile.
Sound visualisation generated in Processing from custom FFT analysis of recorded loops.
